Support the Dagmar Build and Get a Jump on Your 2015 Taxes!

You have heard the buzz around the DMBA receiving a $20K grant from the National Recreational Trails (NTC) Program. http://durhammountainbiking.ca/news/dagmar-grant-announcement .  Everything is in place and we are starting work on our most ambitious trail build ever!

To obtain the NTC grant, DMBA has to match the $20,000 grant with $20,000 of our own.  So, our goal is to raise $20,000.  Most of the money will be used to hire contractors, purchase materials and tools and for volunteer support. This will be a build of epic proportions so we anticipate needing extra funds to successfully support the effort.

Here’s how to make a donation:
Make a donation to The Living City Foundation for the Dagmar North Trail Project (DNTP) and you’ll receive a charitable tax receipt for income tax purposes towards your 2015 taxes!

How is this possible?
The Dagmar Lands are owned by Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA).  TRCA is one of the largest landowners in the greater Toronto region and Dagmar Lands plays an integral role in our collective efforts to ensure a sustainable trail strategy for our communities. As such, we have partnered with TRCA and The Living City Foundation (the fundraising and charitable arm of TRCA). The Foundation exists to connect, engage, and inspire people to donate to support TRCA's Living City vision where human settlement can flourish forever as part of nature's beauty and diversity.

How to make a donation – there are two ways:

1) You can make your donation directly to The Living City Foundation online donation page by clicking the link below.  Make sure you select the “The Dagmar North Trail Project” in the Designation drop down box (4th choice down) to ensure your donation gets directed to our project.

https://cause2give.unxvision.com/EDMWeb/DonationForm.aspx?FormID=65&LanguageID=1

Donations of any amount would be greatly appreciated and tax receipts will be issued for any amounts over $10.

  • Be sure to indicate on your cheque it is to be designated to the “Dagmar North Trail Project”.

Whether you make your donation online or mail it in, the next step is very important!

After you have made your donation please send an email to dagmar@durhammountainbiking.ca  to let us know you made a donation and how much the donation was for. This is important because we need this information to track donations and recognize our donors as described above.

When complete, the DNTP will significantly expand the riding opportunities in Durham. This is our chance to contribute support and sweat equity towards trails we will all enjoy for years to come.

Thank you for your support, and see you out there!
