We have arranged a special mountain bike coaching and skills development program exclusively for our members.  This will be an opportunity to help intermediate & advanced riders improve their riding skills and develop some coaching skills. You will learn techniques to help you ride faster, smoother, more efficiently and confidently.  You will be able to lead rides more competently and confidently and be able to coach and support your fellow riders.

The course description is below and is run through the OCA.   The course will be catered to us and is the foundation for the NCCP MTB Skills and Tactics course.

Community Cycling Initiation is the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) for coaches who will primarily work with novice pre-competitive cyclists at the community level.  The focus is on FUNdamentals — too early to train and adapt to the stages of long-term athlete development. The course is designed for volunteers, parents, and recreation and summer camp leaders who will work with children and beginner adults.  You should have some riding skills prior to enrolling in this course.
