We would like to invite everyone to our third annual Earth Day Road-side clean up. This will take place, in conjunction with other events world-wide for Earth Day, on April 23rd. We meet 9:00am at the Durham Forest head of trails parking lot on concession 7, 1 km south of Durham rd 21 (Goodwood Rd). Those of you who have driven on both the 6th and 7th concession may have seen the “Adopt a Road” signs the township of Uxbridge has put on by the road sides to honor the work we have done cleaning up these past two years. We need as many of our members as possible to come out and join in this effort to make this a success and to make lighter work for all. For those of you with high-school aged children we will sign off on their volunteer hours. Invite your friends and neighbors to join in as well. For your comfort and safety please wear a pair of sturdy and comfortable shoes, long pants (there is the possibility of poison ivy), a pair of work gloves and, of course, clothing suitable for the weather.  Thank you, and we hope to see many of you there.
Earth Day 2011, come and do your part!
