The Rouge Park Alliance recently announced the time and place of the next rouge of public meetings on the Trails Master Plan for the Rouge Park. If you need a refresher, you can check out my previous two posts on the topic. Original Public Open HouseĀ Announcement, and the Follow-up.

Here are the details this time around:

  • When: Monday March 7th, 5pm-9pm
  • Where: Markham Museum, Transportation Room, 9350 Hwy 48, Markham ON
  • Agenda: Open House 5-6:30, Presentation 6:30-7, Workshop, 7-9.
The full meeting invitation is attached to this post. Please be aware that the entrance to the Markham Museum is not on Hwy 48, it is through the plaza on the North West corner of 16th and Hwy 48.

As part of this I did a little survey polling who’s been riding the Park, what they think of the trails, and their overall experience. We got 43 responses, 39 of whom have actually ridden in the Park. Roughly half still ride in the park, and on the whole most consider the experience OK, but not great by any means. More details after the jump.
