On  Saturday, June 19 2010, the DMBA Trailblazers conquered 160km of Moraine For Life Adventure Relay course, plus 31 other teams, to capture the win for a second year.

The race consists of 14 stages starting at 8:00am with an 8km canoe paddle on Rice Lake from Gore’s Landing west to Bewdley.  Remaining stages are a mix of biking and running sections on anything from single track trails to sidewalks and roads finishing at Seneca College’s King campus just off Dufferin Street in King City.  Plenty of challenges on route as the race course is on the Oak Ridges Trail which primarily follows road allowances though places like Ganaraska Forest, Long Sault CA, Purple Woods CA, Durham Regional Forest, Walker Woods, York Regional Forrest, and a handful of TRCA land tracks.

The DMBA Trailblazers finished at 10 hours and 40 minutes, 1 hour and 12 minutes ahead of the second place team.  The last team to cross the line stopped the clock at 16 hours and 1 minute.  Team captain Kent Edmunds once again hosted a BBQ at his place just down the street from the finish where the team enjoyed fine food and beverage while a thunderstorm cooled things off outside.

Thanks for best effort to all teammates Kent Edmunds, Jean-Pierre DeCouvreur, Renate Cunneen, David Taylor, Tom Hawks, Alison Gorham, and Mark Linford.
