This is not directly DMBA related, but I figure enough of the DMBA members are also IMBA members that you might like to hear about this.

One of the many partnerships that IMBA has is with Subaru. You may have heard of the program that is funded out of that relationship: The Trail Care Crew. Yep those two brave couples who live out of a car, travel the continent, and build lots of trails are completely funded by Subaru. Ah, but there is catch. The program is technically an IMBA US program and the partner ship is technically with Subaru US.

Well the busy bodies at the IMBA Canada head office sat down with the fine folks at Subaru Canada to see what might be done to start a Canadian partnership. And boy are we off to a fine start. Here’s the deal in a nutshell. If you are an IMBA member in good standing for at least 6 months you can save up to $3500 off the purchase of lease of a new Subaru vehicle.

Now you can’t just waltze into your local Subaru dealer and whip out your IMBA membership card. If you want to take advantage of this you’ll have to contact the IMBA Canada office. They’ll send you and your selected Subaru dealer a letter of confirmation that the VIP program applies to you.
