If you are riding at Durham Forest, Glen Major or Walkers Woods in the next little while you might find a flier on your windshield when you get back from you ride, especially if it is a night ride. As has been discussed before the TRCA is going to start enforcing a ban on night riding on the Glen Major and Walker Woods properties (this includes Brock Tract). There is a bit of history in relation to this topic. Originally a letter was written to the TRCA drawing attention to a number of issues, including night riding. In addition to attending a few meetings to discuss the issues, the DMBA also sent a letter in response to the TRCA. We have received a response to our letter that can be found here. After much discussion and deliberation the TRCA has decided upon a number of management actions that they will take. The letter detailing these actions can be found here.
